Why doesn’t the screen clipping tool work anymore?

Why doesn't the screen clipping tool work anymore?

If you're in the habit of using the Windows+S keyboard shortcut to create screen clippings and you find that it no longer works, it's probably because your software was recently updated. In the latest updates to OneNote 2013, Windows+Shift+S is the new key combination for inserting screen clippings.

This change to OneNote was made to accommodate the keyboard shortcut for searching in Windows 8.1. Pressing Windows+S now opens the Search pane.

Tip:  If you're having trouble inserting screen clippings with either keyboard shortcut, you can click Insert > Screen Clipping or you can use the Send to OneNote tool. Press Win+N to display the tool, and then click the Screen Clipping button that appears on your screen.
