The Business Data Import and Export wizard in Business Contact Manager: Select the type of file to export business data to

Business Contact Manager for Outlook can export business data to three types of Business Contact Manager files, as described in the following table.

Select the type of file to export to      Select the type of file: either .bcm, .bcmx, or .csv format.

File type	File name extension	Data type
Business Contact Manager data	.bcm	Business Contact Manager records including: Accounts, Business Contacts, Opportunities, and communication history items such as linked e-mail messages.
Business Contact Manager Customizations	.bcmx	User-defined fields and groups that you created to customize Business Contact Manager forms and records. For more information about customizations, see Customize your Business Contact Manager forms through user-defined fields.
Comma-separated values file	.csv	A text file that contains data that is separated by commas. You can create and save a .csv file in programs such as Notepad or Excel.
