Show or hide authors in a shared notebook in OneNote 2016 for Mac

Show or hide authors in a shared notebook in OneNote 2016 for Mac

Whenever you work with other people in a shared notebook, newly added and revised notes by others will be marked on your screen with a vertical color bar and the initials of the author who made the changes. This makes it easy to spot each other's contributions when collaborating on a project.

You can turn these formatting marks off if they distract you from reading your notes.

Do the following:

  1. In the shared notebook containing author's formatting marks, click the View tab.

  2. Click Hide Authors to remove the color bars and author initials.

Tip: To turn these marks back on, click the Hide Authors button again.
