SharePoint Workspace indicators

The tables below summarize common indicators you see in SharePoint Workspace.

Workspace Member/Contact Presence Indicators

Contact and workspace member presence indicators correspond to the indicators you see in Microsoft Office Communicator. However, a few additional presence indicators pertain specifically to SharePoint Workspace.

Indicator

Meaning

A contact who is available in SharePoint Workspace and Communicator

A contact who is available for either SharePoint Workspace or Communicator activities.

The contact is available only in SharePoint Workspace

A contact who is available only for SharePoint Workspace activities. The contact might not have Communicator or might not be logged in to Communicator, or you might not be logged in to Communicator.

the contact is active in a groove  workspace

A small red box appended to a presence icon denotes a contact who is active in a workspace.

The contact is idle or away in SharePoint Workspace and Communicator

A contact who is idle or away in SharePoint Workspace and in Communicator. This indicator displays when the contact has not done any activity at their computer for several minutes.

A contact who is idle or away in SharePoint Workspace. This indicator displays when the contact has not done any activity at their computer for several minutes.

The contact has an "out of office" message set

An asterisk appended to a presence icon denotes a contact who has set an "Out of Office" message in Communicator.

the contact has turned on "busy" in communicator

A contact who is available but engaged in another activity, such as a call, conference, or meeting.

The contact has turned on "Do not Disturb" in Communicator

A contact who has set their status in Communicator to "Do Not Disturb."

The contact is offline

A contact who is offline in both SharePoint Workspace and Communicator.

Unread Content Indicators

Indicator

Meaning

Indicates new or updated content added within the last two days

The workspace or item has unread content added or updated within the last two days.

Indicates new or updated content added within the last seven days

The workspace or item has unread content added or updated within the last seven days.

Indicates new or updated content added more than seven days ago

The workspace or item has unread content added or updated at least seven days ago.

Workspace Type and Status Indicators

Meaning

A SharePoint workspace

A SharePoint workspace

A Groove workspace

A Groove workspace.

A workspace with communications paused

All data transfer is currently paused for this workspace.

Groove File Sharing Workspace

A shared folder.

Groove workspace with no data content

A workspace that does not yet contain content data. You must download data from another computer or workspace member.

Workspace in which you are not synchronizing your changes

Your copy of this workspace is no longer synchronizing content updates. See Managing workspace synchronization problems for more information.

Indicators in the Windows notification area

Indicator

Meaning

SharePoint Workspace is logged in to an account

SharePoint Workspace is logged in to an account.

SharePoint Workspace is logged in to an account but  working offline

SharePoint Workspace is logged in and set for working offline.

There are unread messages in your SharePoint Workspace account

SharePoint Workspace is logged in and the account has an unread message.

SharePoint Workspace is not log in to an account

SharePoint Workspace is not logged in to any accounts.

SharePoint Workspace is not logged in to an account, and set to work offline

SharePoint Workspace is not logged in to any accounts and is set for working offline.

An unopened message.

Unopened voice message

An unopened voice message.

Unopened voice message with attached file

An unopened voice message with attached file.

A received or sent invitation

An invitation you've received, but not yet accepted or declined. Also, a sent invitation.

Previously opened message

A previously opened message.

Previously opened message with attached file

A previously opened message with an attached file.

Previously opened voice message

A previously opened voice message.

Previously opened voice message with attached file

A previously opened voice message with an attached file.

A sent message

A sent message.
