Location

Location

Use the Locations dialog box to specify which locations will be monitored by the Monitoring Server and to view or edit custom or default threshold settings that are used to control alerting for individual locations. The custom and default thresholds are used by the Monitoring Server Management Pack to determine when alerts will be fired because of degraded media quality at network locations. If you are not using the Monitoring Server Management Pack for near real-time monitoring of media quality and performance counters are not being monitored, you do not need to make any configuration changes on this dialog box.

Locations

Specify if a location is enabled for monitoring by the Monitoring Server. To enable a location for monitoring, select the check box next to the name of the location. To disable monitoring of an imported location, clear the monitoring check box.

To view or modify the custom threshold settings of each performance counter for a location, click the location that you want, and then click Thresholds. You can edit the threshold settings for each performance counter.

Default Settings

To view or modify the default threshold settings for all locations, click Default. You can edit the default threshold settings for each performance counter. These default settings will be applied for all locations that do not have custom threshold settings.
