Control animation timing, animation speed, and animation duration in PowerPoint 2010. Add animation delays, change the animation order, and even add a sound to an animation. Plus, make custom animations using the Animation Pane (previously known as the Custom Animation Pane).

Goals

After completing this course you will be able to:

  • Change the timing for an animation using "On click," "With previous," or "After previous."

  • Change the speed for an animation: speed it up, slow it down, and even delay it.

  • Change the order of the animation using the Animation Pane (previously known as the Custom Animation Pane).

  • Add a sound to an animation.

  • Add a custom animation using a motion path.

  • Use the Selection Pane to more easily select objects in a complex animation.

Before you begin

Before taking this course, you should know how to insert basic animations in PowerPoint 2010. For more information on basic animations, take the course Animations and transitions.
