Response group service

In the Office Communications Server 2007 R2 console tree, the Response Group Service node lists all Front End Servers or Standard Edition servers in the pool that are running the Response Group Service application. To view and manage properties for all instances of Response Group Service in the pool, use the Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2, Response Group Service administrative snap-in.

Response Group Service properties cannot be configured for individual servers, but you can right-click an individual instance of Response Group Service to start, stop, deactivate, or validate the service.

The Response Group Service enables users to create response groups that automatically distribute incoming calls to groups of agents. It also enables you to configure other settings, such as a welcome message, Interactive Voice Response, and music on hold.

For details about Response Group Service, see the Operations section of the Office Communications Server Technical Library.
