Print crop marks

To print crop marks, you must print on a paper size that is larger than the page size that you have set for your publication. Commonly, this requires that you print to an imagesetter, which can define a variety of paper sizes.

You can also print crop marks by using a desktop printer. You just need to print on a sheet of paper that is larger than the final dimensions that you want after the page is trimmed.

1. On the File menu, click Print, and then click the Publication and Paper Settings tab.

2. In the Size list, under Paper, check the paper size and select a larger size if you need to.

   The paper sizes that are available depend on the TE000128406 that you have selected. Most imagesetter printer drivers have paper sizes such as Letter.Extra, A4.Extra, and Legal.Extra, which provide extra space on every edge to accommodate crops marks and other printer's marks.

3. On the Printer Details tab, click Advanced Printer Setup, and then click the Page Settings tab.

4. Under Printer's marks, select the Crop marks check box.

5. Select any other options that you want, and then click OK.

Note: 

• To turn off crop marks, clear the Crop marks check box.

• The Job information, Registration marks, and Density bars options are available only if you selected Composite Grayscale, Separations, or Composite CMYK under Output on the Separations tab. They are not available if you select Composite RGB, which is the default.
