Specify the default font cell colors and patterns for a view

  1. On the Format menu, click Text Styles.

  2. In the Item to Change box, select All.

  3. Select the font, font style, and font size in the Font, Font Style, and Size boxes.

  4. To underline text, select the Underline check box.

  5. In the Color box, specify the color that you want to use.

  6. To change the background color of the cell, in the Background Color list, click a color.

  7. To change the background pattern of the cell, in the Background Pattern list, click a pattern.

    Notes: 

    • The new default font is applied in the current view only. To use the font settings of this view in new projects, you can use the Organizer to copy that view into the global file.

    • To apply the default font to elements that were formatted individually, you can clear their current format. Select the elements you want to change, click Clear on the Edit menu, and then click Formats.

    • The Font and Font Size boxes on the Formatting toolbar do not reflect the text style settings. You can use these boxes to specify fonts for individual elements.

    • To add a font in Windows Vista that you don't see in the font list, in Control Panel, click Appearance and Personalization. On the File menu of the Fonts dialog box, click Install New Font (If you don't see the File menu, press ALT).

    • To add a font in Windows XP that you don't see in the font list, in Control Panel, click Fonts. On the File menu of the Fonts dialog box, click Install New Font.
