Print an Excel workbook from the browser

You can print an Excel workbook from the browser in two ways:

• By using the Print command in Internet Explorer

• By opening the workbook in Excel, and using the Print features there

Note:  This information applies only to an Excel workbook in a SharePoint environment. If you are using Excel Online in OneDrive, see Print a spreadsheet in Excel Online.

Print by using the Internet Explorer Print command

When you use the print features in Internet Explorer features, you can print only the information that appears on the screen. This print option does not include data that out of view, worksheets that are not currently displayed or named items that are not currently.

To print a page     

• On the Internet Explorer command bar, click the Print button.

To preview how a page will look when it is printed    

• Click the arrow to the right of the Print button, and then click Print Preview.

To change how a page appears on the printed page    

1. Click the arrow to the right of the Print button, and then click Page Setup.

2. Change the print settings that you want, such as Portrait or Landscape orientation, print size, margins, etc.

3. When you finish changing the print settings, click OK.

4. Click the Print button.

Print by opening the workbook and using the Print features in Excel

Office Excel 2007 and Excel 2010 offer many options and features for printing a workbook, such as printing a selected range of cells, changing print settings and print layout, or printing the complete workbook. When you open a workbook in Excel, you can use all these options.

To print a workbook by opening it in Excel, you must have Office Excel 2007 or Excel 2010 installed on your computer.
