PowerPoint crashes and slow performance
Opening PowerPoint 2016 with Malwarebytes 3.0, you get a "Stopped working" error or crash [FIXED]

ISSUE
Users with Malwarebytes 3.0 and the Office October fork builds 7571.2017 or later may experience "Stopped working" error or problems opening PowerPoint. This can happen even though PowerPoint was installed and working fine before.
STATUS: FIXED
There is a fix available in builds 16.0.7571.2109, released on 1/4, and higher. To install the update, click File > Account > Update Options > Update Now.
If you had previously turned off protection for PowerPoint via the instructions provided by Malwarebytes, please turn protection back on.
Crash when launching Grid view in Presentation View [FIXED]

ISSUE
When you launch a slide show with Presentation View, and then go to Grid view, PowerPoint crashes. Crashes also happen when you use slides show zoom in Presentation View.
STATUS: FIXED
There is a fix available in build 16.0.7571.2072 and higher. To install the update, click File > Account > Update Options > Update Now.
You encounter broken images and an rld2/rld3 error
You encounter broken images and an rld2/rld3 error. For example, you see the message "The image part with relationship ID rId2 was not found in the file."
We are aware of this issue and we're investigating. When an update is available, we'll post here with more information.
Issues affecting PowerPoint features and add-ins
Error: "PowerPoint found a problem with content in..." when clicking a hyperlink to a PowerPoint presentation [WORKAROUND]

ISSUE
Clicking a hyperlink to a PowerPoint presentation returns the error message "PowerPoint found a problem with content in <path\filename>. PowerPoint can attempt to repair the presentation. If you trust the source of this presentation, click repair." After you click repair, error message continues, "Sorry, PowerPoint can't read <path\filename>."
STATUS: WORKAROUND
We're aware of this issue and plan to fix it in a future release. When we do, we'll update this article with information about how to obtain the fix. In the meantime, you can work around this issue by doing the following:

Click File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings... > Trusted Locations.

Click Add new location..., click Browse..., and select the location of the file.
PowerPoint says files stored on SharePoint are read-only [FIXED]
When you try to check out and edit a PowerPoint 2016 file in the Office 2016 desktop client and the file is stored on a SharePoint document library, PowerPoint says it's a read-only file.
This issue is now fixed in build 6965.2092 or later for Office 2016 who have the Click-to-Run version installed. Office 365 subscribers will see version 1605 (Build 6965.2092) and Office 2016 non-subscribers will see build 16.0.6965.2082. To get the latest updates, click File > Account > Update Options > Update Now.
The fix is in progress for those who have volume license editions of Office 2016, such as Microsoft Office Professional Plus and Microsoft Office Standard, who receive updates through the Windows Installer technology (MSI).
