Why do I have to sign in?

OneNote for Mac syncs your notes with OneDrive, so your notes are available on all your devices, and they're always up-to-date. To access your notebooks, sign in with a Microsoft account or the account assigned to you by your work or school.

A Microsoft account is an email address used to sign in to Microsoft services. You already have an account if you use any of these services:

• Outlook.com

• OneDrive

• Xbox LIVE

• MSN

• Messenger

• Office 365 Home subscription
