Reset your Unified Messaging voice mail PIN

Reset your Unified Messaging voice mail PIN

When you reset your voice mail password or PIN, a Unified Messaging server generates a temporary PIN and sends it in an email message to your Microsoft Exchange Server account Inbox. After you receive the temporary PIN, use it to log on to your mailbox, and then change the temporary PIN to a PIN of your choice.

Note:  A Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 or Exchange Server 2007 account is required. Unified Messaging must be enabled by your Exchange administrator.

Exchange 2010 account

  1. Click the File tab.

  2. Click Manage Voice Mail.

    Microsoft Outlook Web App opens.

  3. Enter your user name and password, and then click Sign in.

Outlook Web App opens and the Phone pane appears.

  4. On the Voice Mail tab, under Outlook Voice Access, click Reset my voice mail PIN.

  5. When prompted Do you want to reset your voice mail PIN, click OK.

Exchange 2007 account

  1. Click the File tab.

  2. Click Manage Voice Mail.

  3. On the Voice Mail Options dialog box, under Phone Access, click Reset PIN.

  4. When prompted Do you want to reset your voice mail PIN, click OK.
