Sometimes you may want to crop pictures that you've already added to your notes to remove unnecessary parts. While OneNote doesn't currently support cropping pictures from within OneNote, you can crop them quickly using the Photos app on your Mac.
-
In OneNote for Mac, Control-click the picture, click Save As and save it.
-
On your Mac, open the Photos app, and then click File > Import on the menu bar.
-
Find and select the picture, and then click Review for Import.
-
After importing, double-click the image, and then click the Edit button near the top right corner of the window.
-
In the tools menu that appears, click Crop, and then use the cropping tool to modify the picture to your liking.
-
When finished, click Done.
-
Switch back to OneNote and then click where you want the modified picture to appear.
-
On the Insert tab, click Picture.
-
In the Photos folder (or wherever your modified picture was saved), select the picture, and then click Insert.
Tips:
-
You can share edited pictures directly to OneNote. From the Photos app or web page, select the picture you want to share, click the Share button in the upper right, and then click OneNote. In the OneNote dialog box, type a description and note, and then at the bottom, select a OneNote location for the picture to be sent to.
-
If you don't see OneNote in the list of apps you can share to, click More, select OneNote in the Extensions dialog box, close the Extensions box, and then click Share again.
