Copy and paste in messages

Use the standard keyboard commands to copy and paste in a message.

Windows

• Ctrl+C (copy)

• Ctrl+V (paste)

Mac

• Command+C (copy)

• Command+V (paste)

To copy a message in a channel conversation, press and hold in the message and tap Copy text. Then tap Reply or start a new message. In the compose box, press and hold and choose Paste.

To copy a message in a chat, press and hold on the message and choose Copy text. Press and hold in the compose box and choose Paste.

To copy a message in a channel conversation, tap More options in the upper right corner of the message and choose Copy message. Then tap Reply or Compose to open the compose box. In the compose box, press and hold and tap Paste.

To copy a message in a chat, press and hold on the message and choose Copy message. Tap Reply and press and hold in the compose box. Then choose Paste.
