You can add or review changes and comments as you scroll through a document on your iPad or iPhone. When Track Changes is turned on, Word uses a unique color to mark the changes made by each author.
Manage tracked changes
Text changes appear in a different color than other text. New or revised text is underlined, and deleted text appears with a line through it.
To work with tracked changes, tap the Edit icon , and then do any of the following:
To... | Do This... |
See or hide tracked changes | Tap Review, and then slide the control next to Track Changes. |
Choose the type of changes you want to see | Tap Review > Display for Review. |
Move to the previous or next change or comment | Tap any changed text, and in the review pane, tap one of the arrow buttons. |
Accept or reject a change | Tap any changed text, and in the review pane, tap the Accept or Reject button. |
Manage comments
Highlighted text indicates that somebody has added a comment. The comment text will appear in the review pane.
Do any of the following:
To... | Do This... |
Add a comment | Double-tap where you want the comment to appear. On the context menu, scroll to the right and then tap New Comment. |
Read a comment | Tap highlighted text to open the comment pane. |
Reply to a comment | Tap highlighted text to open a comment. Tap the Reply button. |
Delete a comment | Tap highlighted text to open a comment. Tap the Delete button. |
Move to the previous or next change or comment | Tap any changed text, and in the review pane, tap one of the arrow buttons. |
