Troubleshoot business notes in Business Contact Manager
Where are my business notes?
Your business notes are stored in the Communication History folder. To open a business note, do one of the following:

On the Business Contact Manager menu, click Communication History. Then, in the Communication History folder, click the business note.

In a linked Account, Business Contact, Opportunity, or Business Projectrecord, click the business note.
Note: If you remove a business note from the communication history of a record, Business Contact Manager for Outlook automatically deletes this copy from the Communication History folder.
How do I open the Communication History folder?
On the Business Contact Manager menu, click Communication History.
I want to link a business note to multiple records
In Business Contact Manager for Outlook, you can link business notes to multiple records. Each time you link a business note to a record, a separate copy of the note appears in the Communication History folder.

On the Business Contact Manager menu, click Communication History.

Double-click the business note that you want to link to multiple records.

Click Link To.

In the Link to Business Contact Manager record dialog box, in the Folder box, select the type of record that you want to link the business note to.

Type a name or select one in the list. To select adjacent names, press the SHIFT key, and then click the first and last name. To select nonadjacent names, press the CTRL key, and then click the individual names.

Click Link To, and then click OK.
I want to remove a business note from one record and link it to another record
When you remove a business note from a record's communication history, Business Contact Manager for Outlook automatically deletes it from the Communication History folder. Therefore, if you want to remove a business note from one record and link it to another, you must link the note to this other record before removing it from the first record.

On the Business Contact Manager menu, click Accounts, Business Contacts, Opportunities, or Business Projects.

Double-click the record that contains the linked business note that you want to link to another record.

On the Ribbon, on the Show group, click History.

Double-click the business note that you want to link to another record.

Click Link To.

In the Link to Business Contact Manager record dialog box, in the Folder box, select the type of record that you want to link the business note to.

To link a note to another record, type or select a name in the list, and then click Link.

To unlink the business note from the first record, select it in the Communication history items list, and then click Remove.

Click Save & Close.
