Problem
When you use either the new experience or classic view on the OneDrive for work or school webpage, you discover that you can't customize the webpage. Additionally, you can't modify the fields or content types for the page or library.
Solution/Workaround
To work around this issue, use one of the following methods:
-
If there are existing customizations to the webpage, switch to classic view. However, be aware that classic view will eventually be phased out. Additionally, new customizations to classic view aren't supported.
NOTE: To switch to classic view, click Return to classic OneDrive in the lower-left corner of the OneDrive page. Additionally, an administrator can control the OneDrive experience in the SharePoint admin center in the settings section by changing the OneDrive experience setting to either Classic experience or New experience. If you're a global or SharePoint admin in your organization, and want all users to stay on the classic experience until you roll out the new experience, go to the classic SharePoint admin center, click settings in the left pane, and next to OneDrive experience, select Classic experience. -
If customizations are required, consider using a SharePoint Team Site. For moresds information, go to Using templates to create different kinds of SharePoint sites
