Text is vertical

This publication contains a text box or table that has vertical text. If this condition is not fixed and the publication is sent as an e-mail message, the vertical text will be exported as an image. The image quality will be low, and the image will add to the file size of the e-mail message.

To find and select the item, click the error message in the Design Checker task pane, click the arrow, and then click Go to this Item.

Manual fix

To fix this problem manually, change the text to horizontal.

1. Right-click the text box or table cell that contains the vertical text, and then click Format Text Box or Format Table on the shortcut menu.

2. Do one of the following:

   • To fix text in a text box, click the Text Box tab in the Format Text Box dialog box, and then clear the Rotate text within AutoShape by 90° check box.

   • To fix text in a table, click the Cell Properties tab in the Format Table dialog box, and then clear the Rotate text within AutoShape by 90° check box.
