Response Group Service

In Office Communications Server 2007 R2, you can perform the following actions on an individual instance of Response Group Service:

• Start the Response Group Service service.

• Stop the Response Group Service service.

• Deactivate Response Group Service.

• Run Validation for the Response Group Service using the Application Validation Wizard.

Response Group Service properties cannot be configured for individual servers, but you can view and manage settings for all instances of Response Group Service in the pool using the Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2, Response Group Service administrative snap-in.

The Response Group Service enables users to create response groups that automatically distribute incoming calls to groups of agents. It also enables you to configure other settings, such as a welcome message, Interactive Voice Response, and music on hold.
