Format Bar dialog box

Use the Format Bar dialog box to customize the appearance of an individual Gantt bar on the chart portion of a Gantt Chart view. You can change the look of the bar itself, the beginning and end shape, and the text associated with the bar.

While the Format Bar dialog box and the Bar Styles dialog box both allow you to customize bar styles, you use the Format Bar dialog box to customize one or more individually selected bars, while you use the Bar Styles dialog box to customize all bars that meet a particular set of conditions (for example, all split tasks or all summary tasks). If you format a bar with the Format Bar dialog box, this overrides the bar style formatting for that bar as set in the Bar Styles dialog box.
