UML Options dialog box (Add-on tab)
On the UML menu, click Options, and then click the UML Add-on tab to set options for the UML Model Diagram template that determine default behavior for shapes, packages, object names, and more.
Shape Ctrl-Drag Behavior
Choose the result you get when you hold down the CTRL key and drag a UML shape. The default is Copy object, which means that you duplicate the UML element the shape represents, including all of the element's property values. The duplicate is automatically assigned a new name.
Copy object view creates a view of the element the shape represents (if this is permitted according to the UML specification). You can drag the shape representing the view into another package or diagram in the model.
Create A Diagram Page When A Package Or Subsystem Shape Is Added To A Document
Select to automatically create a Static Structure diagram drawing page each time you add a new package or subsystem to your model. If you clear the option, you must create a new diagram drawing page yourself.
Create Watermark On Drawing Page
Select to have a watermark of the diagram type name appear on the workspace directly above each drawing page.
Prompt For Model Element(s) Delete On Delete Of Shape(s)
Choose the result you get when you delete a UML shape. When this option is selected, each time you delete a shape from a diagram, you are prompted to choose to delete only the shape (the element view) or both the shape and the model element. If this option is not selected, the shape (element view) is deleted from the diagram only.
Delete Connectors When Deleting Shapes
Select to delete the connectors attached to a shape when you delete that shape from the drawing page.
Instantiate A Lollypop Shape
Select to have an interface appear as a lollypop interface shape when it is dropped onto the drawing page from the tree view in the Model Explorer.
Instantiate A Class-like Interface Shape
Select to have an interface appear as a class-like interface shape when it is dropped onto the drawing page from the tree view in the Model Explorer.
Auto Assign Names To Newly Created UML Element
Select to automatically assign names to new UML objects you create. If you clear the option, no names are assigned until you type one in the object's UML Properties dialog box.
Set Defaults
Click to set the options currently selected on the UML Add-on tab as the default settings for each new UML model diagram file you open.
