Open from Microsoft Office Project Server dialog box
Use the Open from Microsoft Office Project Server dialog box to open or insert a project from Microsoft Office Project Server. You can:

Check out a project TE000129313 to make changes.

View a project TE000129312.

Group the list of projects by enterprise project outline codes and other criteria.

Insert a project into another project.
Dialog box location
On the File menu, click Open. Microsoft Office Project may display a window requiring you to log on. Enter your user ID and password if necessary, and then click OK. Alternatively, on the Insert menu, click Project. Log on if necessary, and then click OK.

Project arrangement
Group By Lists available categories to group the list of projects in the table. For example, if enterprise project outline codes have been set up, you can arrange the projects by those codes.
Permanently Delete Project Removes the selected project from Project Server. This button is available only if your server administrator has set you up with the privilege to delete projects.
Project table
Name Displays the name of the project.
Version Displays the project version. You can use project versions to archive projects, model projects, or propose a project. There are three types of versions: Published, Archive, and Offline. There can be only one published version of any project.
Checked-Out? Indicates whether the project is currently checked out.
Checked Out By If the project has been checked out, displays the user name of the person who has checked it out.
Last Modified Displays the date and time the project was last changed.
Open options
Read-only to view Specifies that you want to open the selected project in read-only mode, so you can review but not change it. When you select this option, projects unavailable to you for viewing in read-only mode are TE000129117.
Read/write to check out Specifies that you want to check out the selected project so you can make changes. When you select this option, projects unavailable to you for checkout are dimmed. This option is selected by default.
Open from File Displays the Open dialog box, which you can use to open a local project, rather than a project from the server.
Note: The same dialog box appears whether you are opening a project or inserting a project into another project. When inserting a project, the Open button changes to the Insert button, and the Open from File button becomes the Insert from File button.
