Getting information about documents

You can view information about documents in a 2010 Documents tool by opening document properties. For documents in a SharePoint workspace, document properties correspond to those you see for those documents on the SharePoint site. For example, you see the document's metadata fields, such as "Title" and "Managed Keywords." For documents in a Groove workspace, you see status information such as file size, creation and modified dates, and unread status.

  1. Click the document you want to get information about.

  2. On the Home tab, click Properties.
